How we look after your Personal Data
The GDPR is an EU-wide data protection law from May 25, 2018, replacing the previous Data Protection Directive from 1995. The GDPR regulates all processing of personal data for residents in the European Economic Area (EEA). It applies to companies operating in the EEA and to companies outside of the EEA that process personal data of those living in the EEA.
Information we collect from you
We collect information in a range of ways such as if you choose to make an enquiry/ purchase an item/ or make an appointment.
For online orders:
For online orders we collect your name, email address, telephone number, billing address and dispatch address. In respect of any payment details, we will only ever store your payment type, the last four digits of your card details and expiry date. This data will only be used to process your order using one of our payment partners (PayPal or Stripe or Klarna Bank AB.) secure payment platform systems.
We also collect records of email correspondence (including further information we may request from you) when you contact us to request information, report a problem, or provide feedback on our products and services.
For appointment booking:
For online and telephone appointment booking we collect your name, email address and telephone number. This data will only be used to process your appointment using our calendar partner (Timely) secure appointment booking system.
For Studio Card Payment:
For studio orders we collect your name, email address, telephone number, billing address and dispatch address. In respect of any payment details, we will only ever store your payment type, the last four digits of your card details and expiry date. This data will only be used to process your order using our payment partners (AIB Merchant Services and PayPal) secure payment platform systems.
We may also collect personal information when you visit and use our website. This includes the information that is automatically provided by your browser (in the form of cookies) to our servers and information collected by cookies or other tracking and analytical technologies. We may also use anonymous statistical data about browsing actions and patterns which does not identify any individual. This includes the standard information collected by our web server including your IP address, browser type and operating system, details of your visit to our site and access times. It can also include demographic information such as location, preferences and interests.
How we use your information
We will use your information to provide you with information about your appointment and your purchase. We also will use your information for internal record keeping, billing, and accounting and market research purposes. If you have sent us with any queries via email or phone regarding www.jessicaflinn.co.uk or our products/services we will use your information to respond to you.
If you give us feedback (in the form of testimonials and photographs), we may use it to improve our services and we may publish it online or offline to promote our business and our services. We will ask for permission before publishing.
Who we share your personal information with?
We do not sell your data to third party marketing companies. In general, third part providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to fully perform their role. Certain third party service providers, e.g. payment gateways have their own privacy policies.
Security Our websites are hosted by Shopify Inc. with SSL certificates for all our domains https://www.jessicaflinn.co.uk and https://www.sheffieldsteelrings.co.uk. With SSL enabled automatically, visitors can access a constant, secure connection on every page of our site. Through SSL, visitors see a lock icon next to our URL in the browser, showing that their information is safe. This encrypts and protects any data that you send us online. Our website address is https:// and not http; meaning that you are viewing our website in secure mode.
