THE JOURNEY OF OUR JEWELLERY

OUR SUPPLY CHAIN

SOURCING GEMSTONES

We source salt and pepper diamonds, sapphires, lab grown diamonds, mined diamonds and tourmalines from suppliers across the globe. Sapphires sourced in Sri Lanka are typically cut in Sri Lanka, however Montana Sapphires and Australian Sapphires can be cut in their country of origin, or in India's cutting facilities.

Diamonds are mined in many countries including Botswana, Canada, Angola and South Africa. Tourmalines are found in Brazil, Kenya, Madagascar, Namibia and more. Both often find their way to Surat in India, the world capital of cutting-edge gemstone cutting technology, to be cut and polished.

CASTING & METALS

Most of our rings are cast at a state of the are facility. Using CAD technology, we're able to create 3D models of your piece so that it can be printed and cast to our exact specification.

Our suppliers use recycled 100% recycled gold, which is all classed as 'chain of custody', meaning that it's journey from earth to hand is ethical and fair. Platinum recycling is much less common place, although our supplier is working on this, with much of the platinum used in our pieces mined in South Africa.

We choose these suppliers due to their advanced facilities, and exceptional working conditions for their staff.

SETTING, POLISHING & REPAIRS

All of our centre stone setting, resizing and repairs are done by Dimitar and his team in London's Hatton Garden.

Dimitar trained in Bulgaria before moving to London to expand his skills, before being joined by his wife Tanya two years later. Learning from the best jewellers in the heart of London's jewellery quarter, he quickly gained a reputation for his exceptional craftsmanship.

We're incredibly lucky to work with Dimitar and his team. It allows us to invest in the future of the industry, and ensures each piece passes through the hands of one of the UK's finest craftspeople.

THE FINISHING TOUCH

ENGRAVINGS

Laser engraved in house, each piece receives its 'Jessica Flinn' signature, in addition to your personalised engravings.

Available with every piece of fine jewellery, you can include a special date, note or even a small simple image.

TRANSPARENT TRADING

WHO ARE OUR SUPPLIERS?

In an industry where documented gemstones are the exception, rather that the rule, we wanted to find ways to be more transparent about your jewellery's journey. We've introduced:

1. Supplier codes, so we can tell you a little bit more about how your gemstones was sourced.

2. A traceability score from 1-3, so you understand just how traceable your gemstone is.

Traceable level 1

These gemstones can be traced direct to mine and are typically sourced from our suppliers who work directly with mines and local communities.

Traceable level 2

For these gemstones, we can tell you about some of their journey. We either know their country of origin, or the cutting house use to finish the stone.

Traceable level 3

The gemstones we don't have full journeys for are sourced from our network of trusted suppliers. Vetted by us, we know that they do not source from conflict zones.
