TREND REPORT

WEDDING RINGS 2023

When it comes to trends, we always tell our customers to lean towards timeless pieces for their wedding rings. It’s an item of jewellery you will wear for a long time, so you should choose something to reflect you, rather than what’s fashionable at the time.

That said, timeless wedding rings do follow certain trends. And as we look to 2023, we see a few key wedding ring styles on the horizon. Let’s take a look:

DIAMOND WISHBONES

Wishbone wedding rings are shaped, sweeping to a point to nestle around your engagement ring. They’re a modern take on the shaped band, and a great way to add drama to your wedding stack.

Within our collection we have two diamond set wishbone designs, which we predict will be very popular throughout next year.

Ellis has around 50% diamond coverage with 31 x 1 mm round brilliant cut white diamonds.

If you’d prefer something a little more understated, Iris has a polished band, with 7 x 1 mm diamonds on its point. Both rings can be made in your choice of 100% recycled gold, or platinum.

Art Deco Baguettes

The white diamond baguette is having a real moment, and is showing no sign of slowing down. Unlike its super-sparkly round brilliant cut sibling, these diamonds catch the light a little differently. Subtle and elegant, they’re the main ingredient in many of our wedding bands.

Thea is a beautiful shaped wedding band, with channel set diamonds totalling approximately 0.30ct flowing across the front of the band. For baguettes with drama, our Diana tiara wedding band features three elegant tapered baguettes, with two delicate round brilliant cut white diamonds on either side.

Petite Tiaras

Our tiara wedding rings have been incredibly popular throughout 2022. They’re bold, dramatic and make for an impressive wedding stack. As budgets become tighter, we know that some customers may want the impact of a tiara wedding band, minus the price tag. That’s why we’ve created our petite tiara collection.

Our Emma, Joanie and Arrietty designs have all been scaled down and set with slightly smaller diamonds. We think they're just as dramatic.

Patterned and Textured Bands

So you don’t want a polished wedding band, and you don't want to add extra diamonds? What else is there to choose from? Patterned and wedding bands of course. From the nature-inspired floral patterns of our Bethan wedding band, to the Art Deco-inspired ribbed Gabrielle band, the options are endless.

Choosing a patterned band is a great way to add interest to your engagement ring without stealing the show. All of our designs can be amended using our Shaped To Fit service too.

Colourful Gemstone Bands

Finally, one emerging trend for the year ahead is colourful diamond and gemstone wedding bands. Our design team has worked on some beautiful bespoke wedding bands this year with ombre-effect sapphires, accent gemstones, and salt and pepper diamonds.

Within our collection, our Wednesday Made-to-Order wedding band can be set with either 16 x 2mm black diamonds or dazzling teal sapphires. And both our Winnie and Emma tiara wedding bands can be made using salt and pepper diamonds.
