Flinn & Steel Product Policies

For Flinn & Steel products purchased via jessicaflinn.co.uk, the following policies apply.

Return and Refund Policy

 

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at ruby@jessicaflinn.co.uk, quoting your order number.

Please note that returns will need to be sent to the following address: Flinn & Steel Ltd, Room 14, Cybor House, 1 Tapton House Road, Sheffield, S10 5BY.

You can choose to return your item using one of our Tracked Returns labels, charged at a flat rate of £3.50 within the UK, or arrange your own return postage.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

If you order the wrong size you must return your item to us within 30 days of delivery and we will arrange an exchange where possible at our discretion. Your original ring must be returned to us in an unworn, new condition. We cannot be held responsible if you order the wrong ring size on a personalised or made-to-order item, or for any misspelt engravings at the point of order. If this is the case, get in touch with us on info@flinnandsteel.co.uk within 24 hours of placing your order. 

The only exception to this would be if upon receiving the item a fault is present within a 14 day period. If this is the case you will be eligible to return the item for a refund or replacement. After this 14 day period, we will only repair or replace the item. If for some reason we are unable to repair or replace the item, an alternative may be offered, and if the alternative is not suitable, only at this time will we offer a full refund.

We will aim for your repair or replacement to be fully resolved in 60 days, however, this timescale may vary. Refunds, when agreed, will be processed within 14 days.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, such as made-to-order products or personalized items. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. 

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on gift cards.


Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Product Guarantee

All of our products are guaranteed against inherent faults for 12 months from the date of dispatch, however, if Flinn & Steel Ltd determines that the damage was due to normal wear-and-tear, we will repair the product if possible but only at a cost. We cannot be held responsible for work carried out by yourself or a third-party.

We will also not be held responsible for scratching, tarnishing, denting, chipping, or damage caused to any product.

 

Shipping Policy

 

All orders are processed within 2-3 business days. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends (unless specifically requested) or holidays. If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days.


Please allow additional two days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.

 

Our lead times are between 1-12 weeks depending on your chosen ring design and metal. Please see product pages for specific lead time information.

Ready-to-Ship items: Usually dispatched in 3-5 working days, but can take up to 2-3 weeks if we're experiencing high order volumes. Our usual dispatch days are Tues-Thurs, therefore unless specifically agreed in writing, your items will be dispatched on these days only.

Tantalum items: We do our best to keep plenty of our Tantalum items in stock, however certain sizes and styles can take up to 8 weeks for delivery when stock levels deplete.

Made-to-Order items, including chains: We aim to deliver our made-to-order items as quickly as possible, which means where possible your order could be dispatched in 2-3 weeks, but can take up to 8 weeks.

Damascus and Silver items: We aim to deliver our Damascus and Silver rings as quickly as possible, however they can take up to 8-12 weeks to craft and dispatch.

Please allow an extra week for a personalised engraving.

 

Estimated delivery times when dispatched:
UK:
Royal Mail First Class - Delivery expected in 1-2 working days
Royal Mail Tracked 48 - Delivery expected 48 hours after dispatch date
Royal Mail Special Delivery - Delivery expected on the next working day after dispatch, before 1pm


Europe delivery aim: 3-5 working days
Worldwide delivery aim: 5-10 working days.


Please note - non-UK shipments may be subject to customs charges and duties. Shipments may also be delayed if customs charges and duties are not paid in a timely manner, or more information is required in order to release your shipment. It is the responsibility of the customer to pay customs charges and duties.


Parcels that are 'returned to sender' due to not being collected on time or due to incorrect addresses entered at checkout by the customer may be subject to further shipping charges.
